Where Will Your Donations Go? 

Since we do not have the overhead of a paid employee, donations are used for the following:  veterinary care for the dogs, facility improvements, transport van upkeep & repair, dog food, microchips, transporting dogs, and shelter fees.  Your donation never ends up in the pocket of a human.

Big Bones often takes in older dogs or dogs with extensive medical needs (which means extensive medical costs).  In addition, once a dog is pulled from a shelter out of state, is typically enters a boarding facility where it is safe and cared for until it’s time to come to Colorado.  On average, the cost of each dog is far in excess of its adoption fee.  This is why your donations are so important to our mission.  Consider making a monetary, tax deductible donation today!
